With home-cooked festive food, seasonal drinks, and a warm local atmosphere, we’re the ideal spot for Christmas meals, parties, and get-togethers of all sizes.

Christmas Menus & Festive Food

  • From 26th November to 20th December we serve both our regular menu and a special Christmas set menu.
  • Christmas Set Menu – includes crackers, mince pies, and post-meal chocolates
  • Turkey roast – available on both the regular and Sunday roast menus

 

We cater for everyone at Christmas. Alongside our traditional roasts, we offer vegan, vegetarian, halal, and gluten-free dishes, plus gluten-free beer and alcohol-free drinks so nobody misses out.

 

Christmas menu hours:

  • Monday & Tuesday: 12–8pm
  • Wednesday–Friday: 12–4pm
  • Saturday: 12–8pm
  • Sundays: regular roasts plus turkey with all the trimmings

 

Christmas Party Spaces & Private Hire

Whether you’re planning a small table with friends, a festive drinks party, or a full private hire, we’ve got flexible spaces to suit.

 

Basement Venue – Exclusive Hire

  • Private space for groups of 20+
  • Up to 60 standing or 32 dining
  • Fully decorated for Christmas
  • Option to play your own music or bring a playlist to set the mood

 

Main Bar – Tables, Parties & Drinks Bookings

  • Book a small table for a Christmas meal or drinks
  • Larger groups welcome: up to 60 dining or 90 mingling
  • Relaxed, welcoming local pub atmosphere

 

For drinks parties you can:

  • Pre-order bar snacks and sharing platters to arrive at a set time
  • Pre-order drinks for your group’s arrival
  • Choose to run a tab or let guests pay as they go

 

Booking & Deposits

  • Bookings taken for meals, drinks, or both — from small tables to full private hire (please note we do not close the whole pub for private hire as this is not fair on our regulars)
  • Walk-ins are always welcome, though December is busy – booking recommended

 

Deposits: £5 per person for Christmas meals (refundable), and deposits required for groups of 15+. We’ll provide you with more info when you make an enquiry. Our cancellation policy is also on this page at the bottom.

 

Accessibility at The Harrison

We want everyone to feel welcome at The Harrison. Our pub is an older building, but we’ve made adjustments to improve accessibility:

  • A pop-up ramp is available for entry into the main pub.
  • Grab handles are fitted in both the men’s and women’s ground-floor toilets.
  • We provide gender-neutral and gender-specific toilets.
  • Due to the age and layout of the building, we’re not able to provide a fully accessible disabled toilet.
  • If you or your group have specific access needs, please contact us in advance — we’ll always do our best to help.

 

Not Just for Christmas

Even during the festive season, The Harrison remains open for non-Christmas bookings, our regular menus, and walk-ins. Whether you’re joining us for a pint by the fire, a Sunday roast, or a last-minute catch-up, you’ll always be welcome.

 

Christmas FAQs

Do you offer vegan, vegetarian, or gluten-free Christmas meals?

Yes — our festive and regular menus include vegan, vegetarian, halal, and gluten-free options.

Can I book just for drinks?

Yes — we take bookings for drinks-only parties as well as dining. You can also pre-order bar snacks, sharing platters, and drinks for your group’s arrival. Tabs are available, or guests can pay individually.

Is the Christmas menu available every day?

No — it’s available 26 November to 20 December at the times above.

Do you accept walk-ins during Christmas?

Yes — but to avoid disappointment we recommend booking ahead.

Do I need to pay a deposit?

Yes — £5 per head for Christmas meals, and deposits for groups of 15+ (both refundable).

Do you serve alcohol-free and gluten-free beers?

Yes — we offer both alcohol-free beers and gluten-free beers, alongside a wide range of cask ales, craft keg beers, wines, spirits, seasonal cocktails, mulled wine, hot toddies, soft drinks, and hot drinks.

Can we play our own music in the basement venue?

Yes — if you book our basement venue for exclusive use, you’re welcome to play your own music or bring a playlist to create the atmosphere you want.

  • Cancellations made 24 hours in advance will be fully refunded.
  • Cancellations made 4 hours in advance the deposit will be retained.
  • Cancellations made less than 4 hours in advance will be charged in full.
